Chelmsford

After a good nights sleep we woke up feeling re- energised. Not quite back to normal but near enough. We did get an early morning wake up call courtesy of a fox which decided 5am was a good time to try and attract a mate. What a god awful noise. A high pitched scream, I think a shotgun would be useful at this time of year.

I have spent most of the day in the garage, prepping the bike woth sat nav and phone chargers. I thought I prepared well for this but nothing worked out how I planned so a lot of of re-engineering was requied. I got there in the end but  it turned into a bit of a mission.

At lunchtime we and Matthew went for a nice walk in a local park. A really big park with wilderness areas for dogs to be let off and also lovely and well kept gardens. There is also a very nice cafe so we had a spot of lunch.

This park was obviously part of an estate and the manor house is still in place and repurposed as a wedding and function centre.

We were keen to have a look but it was closed due to a wedding taking place. A muslim wedding by the look of it with the women all wearing a similar looking garment, quite beautiful outfits and all the men were in grey suits.

Karen has been away for a few days with Nathan their youngest and a couple of his mates so it was nice to see her when she arrived home.

Chris cooked a lovely curry for dinner accompanied with French pinot noir. So we are practising for the next few weeks.
