Carcans en plage
Hell of a day today. First mission was to walk 100m to the boulangerie for croissants and baguettes. The beach early this morning, later in the morning it is packed.
Then we hit the beach for a few hours. Several swims and lying on the beach. I’m sure the sun is nowhere near as fierce as it is at home as I would never lay on beach like this.
Also no one seems to cover up with rash shirts amd none of the kids have sun suits like we do. Lucky them .
Back to the house for a late lunch then to a boutique vinyard / winery for a tasting.
The owner conducted this and what a character he was. Totally loving his work and involved in every decision on the place. I learnt quite a lot about French wine production and I have a special bottle to share with friends back in NZ
So all in all a lovely summers day on holiday and thinking of those of you chilling in NZ.
